Gallery to screen Spike Lee's Katrina documentary

Praised as one of the director’s most powerful films, the Spike Lee documentary “When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts” will be shown this Friday (Sept. 26) at the Lawton Gallery in Theatre Hall. The HBO documentary consists of four hour-long segments, beginning at 5 and 6 p.m. and (following a half-hour intermission for refreshments at 7 p.m.) 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. It ties in with the Lawton’s photography exhibit of New Orleans sights and sounds in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
