The scholar and author is John Summers of Boston College, and his topic will be “C. Wright Mills and the Politics of Truth” at 10:35 a.m. Monday (Sept, 21.) in the Union’s Christie Theatre. It’s the opening program in this year’s Historical Perspectives Lecture Series. Summers is the author of Every Fury on Earth (2008), editor of a book containing selected writings of Mills, and is currently completing a biography of the noted social critic and academic sociologist.
