Draper-King shares Lower 9th Ward memories of Katrina
Yarvelle Draper-King will present on the topic, “New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward: An American Story,” from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 23) in the Lawton Gallery of Theatre Hall. Draper-King, a staff member in the UW-Green Bay Office of Human Resources, will share observations about her hometown, the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina and how it affected members of her family. The Brown Bag Talk — one in a series of special events related to the current “Bringing It Home” exhibit of photography and audio of post-Katrina New Orleans — is free and open to the public.
