Weidner tickets a great Mother’s Day gift

OK, it’s not the ballet or symphony, or even Barry Manilow for that matter. But why not give mom tickets to see “Larry the Cable Guy” May 16, at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on the UW-Green Bay campus? Tickets range in price from $28.50 to $50.

Larry’s not exactly your shtick? Well how about “Tim Conway and Friends”? For more than 50 years Conway (“McHale’s Navy,” “The Carol Burnett Show,” “Dorf”) has been making audiences laugh. Tickets range from $49-$59.

If you’re hungering for another idea, let us suggest “No Reservations: An Evening with Anthony Bourdain.” On June 11, the internationally acclaimed chef and host of Travel Channel’s “No Reservations” will offer a fascinating, uncensored, hysterical and sometimes shocking behind-the-scenes look at his life, books and show. Special VIP tickets include a meet and greet with Bourdain. Tickets range from $42 to $91.

For all of these shows, tickets can be purchased online at www.WeidnerCenter.com; by phone (920) 465-2217 or 800-328-8587, or in person at the Weidner Center box office or University Union Information Center.
