Earth Week at Eco U: Congratulating first alumni ‘Earth Caretaker,’ Paul Tower

UW-Green Bay faculty, staff and students are invited to the awarding of the first Alumni Earth Caretaker Award, this Friday (April 23) at 3:45 p.m. at The Meadows Conference Center on Green Bay’s East Side. Receiving the award will be Paul Tower of Washington state, a pioneer in the biogas industry and 1978 master’s graduate of UW-Green Bay. Tower’s story is up in rotation on the University homepage.

Friday’s award presentation caps the two-day symposium: “Green Innovations 2010: Realizing Our Sustainable Future,” presented by the Environmental Management Business Institute (EMBI). The award presentation will be followed by a reception compliments of the Alumni Association, with free hot and cold hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar. No RSVP necessary. The Meadows Conference Center is adjacent to the Country Inn and Suites, 850 Kepler Drive Green Bay, just off the Interstate 43 and East Mason Street interchange.
