The Cofrin Library is hosting a program from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in Rose Hall 250. Michael Edmonds from the Wisconsin Historical Society is guest speaker, discussing his work on Wisconsin in the Civil War, an ambitious project to make a wealth of original materials about the Civil War available in a free, searchable electronic format. If the 150th anniversary has you interested in learning more about the Civil War — and especially Wisconsin’s role — Edmonds’ project contains 10,000 pages of eyewitness accounts created by Wisconsin soldiers, including photographs, diaries, military records, memoirs, letters, and battle maps.
