Dinner Lecture Series event features Russ, Israel
UW-Green Bay presented the next installment of its newly revived Dinner Lecture Series March 29, featuring cuisine from and discussion about the country of Israel.
Prof. Meir Russ presented “Israel: The High-Tech Wonder in the Desert” during the evening event, which featured a meal of lentil soup, Israeli salad, Israeli roasted chicken, couscous with vegetables and Israeli apple cake for dessert. Russ is a professor of Management and chair of the Master’s in Management program at the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. A native of Israel, Russ led a discussion on his home country and some of its high-tech innovations, including advancements in communication, biotechnology and sophisticated agriculture.
The Israeli event was the second in the newly revived Dinner Lecture Series, which was brought back earlier this year by UW-Green Bay’s Division of Outreach and Adult Access. The series was a popular campus and community fixture in the 1980s and ‘90s before it fell dormant for a number of years.
