Alumni reunion for Jazz Fest looks like can’t-miss show

Responses are still trickling in, but it looks as though next weekend’s Jazz Fest reunion of former UW-Green Bay musicians will be one terrific show. More than three dozen veteran players have already committed to reunite for a big-band jazz tribute to the festival’s founder, former Prof. Lovell Ives, on his 80th birthday. It’s a who’s who of familiar names; on the saxes alone, John Salerno, Marc Jimos, Amy Johnson, Chuck Iken, Woody Mankowski, Steve Cooper and a half dozen others have already signed on.
