On ice and snow, take it slow

Last year, state employees experienced 1,332 falls and 793 injuries related to slipping, tripping and falling. Most accidents were on snow- and ice-covered pavement or on wet flooring in buildings, usually near entrances or stairways. Injuries can be severe and include concussions, broken arms, legs and hips and serious back injuries.
