CATL session on ‘novice college students’ is Friday

Here’s a reminder that the session “Finding Their Way: Mapping the Route to Higher Learning for Novice College Students” has been rescheduled to noon to 1:30 p.m. this Friday (Dec. 11) in the 1965 Room of the University Union. The event will be hosted by CATL — UW-Green Bay’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. Research reveals that most high school students, even those with high GPAs, spend little time studying and are not prepared for the expectations of college work; additionally, many college students have work or family responsibilities, while others have inadequate understanding of what it means to be prepared for class. Karen Desotelle, director of Student Education Services at Marquette University, is the workshop leader. Again, contact at CATL@uwgb.edu if you’d like more details.
