Sen. Ron Johnson to hold town hall here on Tuesday


UW-Green Bay student government leaders have confirmed that Wisconsin U.S. Senator Ron Johnson will appear on campus for a town hall-style meeting next Tuesday (Nov. 24) from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. in the Union’s Christie Theatre. The event is open to all, but students say they expect Johnson to address key issues — higher ed and student debt, police-community relations, climate change and Planned Parenthood/abortion — most mentioned by student respondents to a recent SGA survey.  Organizer Nate Fiene of SGA says he anticipates “a robust and respectful conversation about the issues of our day, imperative for our democratic process.” To see a press release.
