Be there Friday: Lunchtime Music Convocations are back

Here’s a friendly reminder — and a little bit of updated info — about the forthcoming return of Lunchtime Music Convocations in the University Theatre. As we mentioned here earlier, the first of these bring-your-lunch, come-as-you-can (and leave-as-you-must) events is coming up Friday (Nov. 7). The 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. event will start out with student performances from McKenna Van Der Leest (alto saxophone), Jamie Rodgers (marimba), Kyle Sweeney (piano) and Lisa Ford (marimba). The UW-Green Bay Clarinet Ensemble will be the next to perform, playing works by composers including Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and others. The recital will conclude with the UW-Green Bay Contemporary Percussion Ensemble, playing selections from John Luther Adams, James Campbell and Daniel Levitan. Faculty members Eric Hansen and Cheryl Grosso direct the Clarinet Ensemble and Contemporary Percussion Ensemble, respectively.
