Parade Committee asks for Toys for Tots donation

The  31st annual Green Bay Holiday Parade is Saturday, Nov. 22 and once again UW-Green Bay will have a parade entry. Following the theme of “Toyland Christmas” the committee is building three Jack-in-the-Boxes (with guests popping out and greeting the crowd) signifying some of UW-Green Bay’s most visible points of pride — athletics, the arts/Weidner, and its graduates. As a service opportunity, the committee is soliciting toy donations which will be used to help decorate the float and will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps’ local Toys for Tots campaign following the parade.

Toys for Tots boxes located around campus
Toys for Tots donation boxes are now in convenient locations across campus and will be emptied each day. Only new, unwrapped toys can be used for the program. Please consider a donation for a local child in need and drop a toy at one the following locations before noon on Friday, November 21 or contact one of the parade captains. Anyone wishing to join the parade committee, please contact Sue Bodilly at bodillys@uwgb.edu.
