Shorewood Golf Course recognized as best in state
The awards keep adding up for UW-Green Bay’s Shorewood Golf Course. The Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin (GCOW) has once again recognized Shorewood, and this year it is for Golf Course Appearance and Maintenance. “Course Superintendent Nate Rusch and his grounds crew team do exceptional work with the resources available,” said Rick Warpinski, UW-Green Bay’s Director of Shorewood and the University Union. “Customers routinely comment on the quality of the course’s playing conditions and are amazed this nine-hole course on a college campus is so well maintained.” This award adds to the lists of awards from GCOW including two-time State of Wisconsin Nine-Hole Course of the Year (2008 and 2016).
