Student stipends for 'Waging War, Waging Peace'

Faculty and staff have a chance to encourage student research. Students engaging in research projects pertaining to the 2008-2009 Common Theme of Waging War, Waging Peace are invited to apply for a $50 stipend to aid with their individual or group research expenses. If conducted as a group project, one stipend will be allocated the group. Students or student groups accepted will be expected to share that research at the 2009 Academic Excellence Symposium.  Applicants must submit a one-page summary of their project and attain a signature from a sponsoring faculty or staff member.  Applications are due Friday, Nov. 7, in the Office of the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TH 335).
