Weidner books January comedy concert by Caliendo
Tickets are on sale for a Weidner Center appearance by Frank Caliendo, newly booked for a Jan. 20 show on campus. A stand-up comedian and impressionist, Caliendo is best known for his weekly bits on the “FOX NFL Sunday Pregame Show” and regular appearances on the Letterman and Leno shows. He played the Weidner a few years ago and drew laughs with his George W. Bush, Jay Leno and John Madden impressions, among others. Tickets for the general public go on sale this Friday (Oct. 28) at noon, at all TicketStar outlets including the ticket/info desk on the second floor of the University Union. Tickets are $37 plus fees.

Comedian Frank Caliendo is scheduled to do a series of radio interviews Wednesday morning (Oct. 26) in promotion of his newly announced Jan. 20 show at the Weidner. (Not to get ahead of ourselves, but his show here would be the weekend of the NFC championship game, which, if it involves Green Bay or is better yet hosted by Green Bay, might make it a hot ticket.) Katie Green says Wednesday morning’s interviews will be on WIXX, WDUZ The Fan, and local outlets of the Bob & Tom Show.
