Wednesday’s speaker is ‘Run for Congo Women’ activist
Activist Lisa Shannon, a spokesperson for Women for Women International, is coming to UW-Green Bay this week to talk about violence against women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Shannon, who founded the global outreach program Run for Congo Women, will speak about her experiences at 4 p.m. this Wednesday (Sept. 22) at the Christie Theatre in the University Union. She will also visit at least two classes and meet with students who are planning a Congo benefit run in Green Bay next month. Read more.
