Philosophers' Cafe is UW-Green Bay, St. Norbert College collaboration
The Philosophers’ Café is a new collaborative effort involving St. Norbert College and UW-Green Bay, intended to bring community members and faculty from the colleges together for monthly discussion of important issues affecting today’s world. Inaugural Philosophers’ Café: Thursday talk of Aldo Leopold’s land ethic
The new Philosophers’ Café gets under way this Thursday (Sept. 16) with a gathering from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Nicky’s Lionhead Tavern, located at 331 Main Ave., De Pere, near the St. Norbert College campus. The discussion will center on “Environmental Ethics” and the land ethic modeled by pioneering Wisconsin conservationist and UW faculty member, the late Aldo Leopold.
