Green Bay Symphony Orchestra season kick-off

The Green Bay Symphony Orchestra will kick off its 2012-13 season with a Saturday, Oct. 13 concert at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. Led by Music Director Donato Cabrera, the GBSO will perform three captivating works of enduring classical music for the show, which begins at 7:30 p.m. The opening night program includes Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Symphony No. 8, as well as Brahms’ Violin Concerto, featuring soloist Leor Maltinski. UW-Green Bay’s close relationship with the symphony orchestra got even closer this summer, when the GBSO moved its administrative offices to the Weidner Center.
