Did you know that 53 percent of the Class of 2023 will be the first members of their families to graduate from college? Each year the number of first-generation students increases, and this year the University will support these students in their UW-Green Bay journey in new and very important ways. That effort starts on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 when the University will host a first-generation student resource fair designed to provide them with “just in time” support. We are inviting faculty and staff who were the first members of their families to graduate from college to attend this event, meet our students, and talk with them about the journey. The event will be held in two blocks, 10 a.m. to Noon and 3 to 5 p.m. in the Phoenix Rooms. If you are interested in participating, please contact Vince Lowery, email@example.com.
