The United States Postal Service is making customers aware of changes to the price structure for Priority Mail. The new schedule is effective Sunday, Sept. 7. As just one example, the charge for a Priority Flat Rate Envelope will increase by about 10 percent, going from $5.25 to $5.75. Al and Eric in the campus mail center say the price changes will have an impact here, as a fair amount of UW-Green Bay’s postal volume falls into the affected categories. If you’re a glutton for bureaucratic-style punishment and want additional details, you can go to Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.gov for pricing files (look in the blue navigation bar for September 2014 Price Change Information) and to the PRC website at http://www.prc.gov/Docs/90/90202/Order%20No.%202156.pdf to download Order No. 2156. (Which is approximately 17 trillion pages long but somewhere in there is buried the rates.)
