Soccer fever: from South Africa to UW-Green Bay

With the world wrapped up in World Cup fever, soccer fans in Green Bay have something to cheer about. The Phoenix women’s soccer team will open its season at home against the University of Wisconsin. The Badgers made it to the Sweet 16 last season. The game will be played at Santaga Stadium on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. The Phoenix women’s soccer team has lost to the Badgers all 14 times the teams have met.
