Radar speed board… and a reminder on safe summer driving

UW-Green Bay Public Safety has received a $4,000 portable radar speed board as a result of a Wisconsin Department of Transportation grant. They’ll be rotating its location around campus to remind drivers of their speeds. Additionally, Chief Tom Kujawa says it’s a good time to remind people about intersection and crosswalk awareness. Motorcycles are out — always remember to look twice — and with summer camp season drawing near there will be more pedestrian traffic throughout the day. A fair number will be young people on campus for the first time, perhaps crossing roadways in busy or unfamiliar areas. Thanks for demonstrating extra patience and care.
