PDC offers special professional opportunities for Green Bay educators

Professional Development Certification offered through the Institute for Learning Partnership at UW-Green Bay is offering Green Bay educators an opportunity to pursue re-licensure and career advancement. The Institute’s newest cohort — Cohort Y (the program’s 25th group) — will begin sessions on June 16. Eight seats have been made available for Green Bay Area Public School educators. The GBAPS human resources department has indicated that candidates will be allowed until June 30, 2013 to complete their PDC and receive full compensation. Applications with payment are due by 4:30 p.m. May 16, in the office of the Institute for Learning Partnership in Cofrin Library, Suite 750, UW-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay, 54311-7001. (The Department of Public Instruction recognizes the PDC for 5-year re-licensure of educators in Wisconsin. The Green Bay School District will compensate educators $5,000 upon approval of portfolio and an additional $3,000 per year for 8 consecutive years of service upon completion of the PDC.)
