Legislators to hold special UW Budget listening session

UW-Green Bay students, faculty, staff and administrators are invited to attend a listening session on the UW System’s 2013-15 state budget from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 in the Christie Theatre of the University Union. Reps. Chad Weininger, R-Green Bay, and John Klenke, R-Green Bay, are hosting the session in conjunction with the University. Other Assembly legislators also are expected to attend. UW-Green Bay Chancellor Tom Harden will offer opening comments and a brief overview of the UW-Green Bay budget.

The Joint Committee on Finance currently is debating Gov. Scott Walker’s proposed state budget. The committee likely will take up with UW System budget within the next few weeks.
