Members of the University community are invited to attend a ceremony and news conference featuring Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle, kicking off “Covenant Day” this Wednesday (April 28) at the University Union. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in Phoenix A/B. The governor is visiting schools statewide to promote the latest developments in his Wisconsin Covenant initiative encouraging young people to pursue higher education. More than 175 eighth-graders will also be visiting to hear Doyle’s remarks and tour campus. We’ll have more details in our next edition.
