Wednesday of this week (April 20) happened to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of UW-Green Bay student Whitney Radder, killed in a crash on Highway 41. Friends note that her memory and spirit live on. She was involved in Phuture Phoenix tutoring as an education student at Franklin Middle School, and the program remembers her good work by awarding the Whitney Radder Phuture Phoenix Phenomenal Role Model Award each semester in her name. The past two semester recipients were Zona Fang, Spring 2010; and Yorchie Xiong, Fall 2010. Phuture Phoenix tells us this semester’s honoree will be announced on Wednesday, May 4 in the EDUC 295 Phuture Phoenix class held on campus.
