Also next Tuesday: annual Empty Bowls anti-hunger event

Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday (April 19) in Room 206 of the University Union, the UWGB Art Agency will host Empty Bowls, a charitable event to raise funds for Paul’s Pantry. This event will sell handmade ceramic bowls with locally made soup for $10 each. One hundred percent of the funds raised will be used to fight hunger. In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep the ceramic bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. The ceramic bowls are the creations of Prof. Minkyu Lee and his ceramics students. Lee created over 100 bowls and asked his students to each donate a few pieces of work for the charitable event. Restaurants donating chili for the fundraiser are Kavarna, A’Bravo Bistro & Wine Bar, Pizzona’s Grill & Spirits, Mill Town Café and Fox Harbor Pub & Grill.
