Shorewood Golf Course opened for play Friday, as warmer temps finally melted the snow and made the layout playable (for walking golfers only; no riding carts, yet). Spring rates apply so 9 holes is $12, with a special rate of $10 before 9 a.m. (Remember: For 9, it’s 12 after 9, 10 before 9.) The restaurant is scheduled to open at 11 a.m. Monday (April 11), serving the “locally famous” Shorewood (ham/turkey/salami/roast beef), Clubhouse (turkey/ham/bacon), and Water Hazard (tuna) sandwiches are back for another season served on the healthy Wheat Berry bread. Please watch for updates to the menu in coming newsletters, LOG, and website updates.
