Public Television to air Earth Day tribute to Nelson

Earth Day and Beyond: Gaylord Nelson’s Good Fight will air on The Wisconsin Channel, the digital multicast service of Wisconsin Public TV. The broadcast times are Friday, April 17, 7 p.m.; Saturday the 18th at 2 a.m.; Monday the 20th at noon; and Tuesday the 21st at 6 a.m. Nelson, a U.S. senator from Wisconsin, is credited with establishing the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, which paved the way for 28 major legislative acts including creation of the Environmental Protection Agency.
