More info: Author, activist LaDuke to speak on campus Monday
Just a friendly reminder that author, orator, activist and two-time Green Party veep candidate Winona LaDuke will speak about food sovereignty at 7 p.m. Monday (April 15) in Rose Hall 250. LaDuke (Anishinaabe) has advanced degrees in rural economic development from Harvard and Antioch universities. She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, has written many articles and several books, and LaDuke helped found the Honor the Earth Organization in 1993. Her presentation is being sponsored by the UW-Green Bay Education Center for First Nations Studies, Environmental Management and Business Institute, and First Nations Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies programs.
