The Great Balanding Act: Fitting Work and Education into a Jam-packed Life (without losing it!)
Join Current Young Professionals in a virtual event about work-life balance featuring speaker Associate Vice Chancellor Pieter DeHart (Graduate Studies) on April 21 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Managing your family, personal, and professional goals may seem challenging enough, but adding the possibility of higher education onto that can seem at times to be a bridge too far. It’s never too early (or late) to take the next step in your career and get the requisite training for advancement. In this Dine n’ Develop session, they will discuss some realistic expectations in approaching further education, including a review of the benefits and opportunities available to you which can fit into unique life situations. Additionally, they will share with peers some strategies for overall life and career balance, and chat about the best ways to support all your goals while still having time to breathe!
This event is FREE to CYP members (CYP membership FREE to all GB campus employees)
By the end of this event, participants will:
- Understand the types of continuing education available
- Weigh the challenges and benefits of possible higher education pathways for career advancement
- Possess strategies for balancing their life and career. Register for the Zoom event here!
