Boxes and Walls exercise takes place April 10, 11

The campus Diversity Task Force would like to remind everyone to attend (or have your classes attend) the program called Boxes and Walls. This self-guided program with discussion at the end will be held April 10 and 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. both days. It will start in the Alumni Rooms and finish in University Union 103. This newly updated program is a multisensory exhibition of some of the most difficult and complex issues that society faces today. “The experience will demonstrate the reality of hate crimes, overt and open acts of discrimination and oppression as our community experiences them. This program will be a more passive experience than some people might have experienced in the past but it will continue to have a lot of valuable information represented in a visual manner and be an experience you will not want to miss.” The rooms this year are on poverty, First Nations, war – gory or glory, and gender. If you need more information or special arrangements, please contact Jeff Willems at willemsj@uwgb.edu or 465-2962.
