Craver, Leadership Green Bay encourage girls to combat bullying, find the kind

Eric Craver, External Relations Director for Outreach and Adult Access and UW-Green Bay representative for this year’s Leadership Green Bay class, is inviting campus and community to help “find the kind” through an essay contest and subsequent celebration aimed at standing up to bullying and celebrating kindness in our area. Craver’s Leadership Green Bay group has teamed up with the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes to coordinate an essay (girls ages 10-12) and video (girls and women ages 13-18) contest that invites young people to share the importance of taking a stand against bullying and working toward making our community a kinder place. Girls do not need to be involved in the Girl Scouts to enter the contest, for which submissions will be accepted through Friday, April 25. A May 21 gala at St. Norbert College will bring contestants together to recognize winning entries and celebrate kindness.
