Christina Agaiby to present restorative justice lecture, March 31
Christine Agaiby, adjunct professor of restorative justice at Loyola University School of Law will be presenting Restorative Justice at 4 p.m. Friday, March 31 in the Christie Theatre. In recent decades, courts, schools and communities have been returning to ancient methods of addressing conflict through restorative justice. Wherever this philosophy is used, the same issues must be addressed: who is involved, what are the needs of the parties, and what can be done to resolve the issues at hand and make sure further harm does not occur. This lecture will challenge pure punishment and will offer the benefits of reconciliation for community safety.
