UW-Green Bay alumnus Hansen named to Joint Finance, at least for now

With the resignation earlier this month of state Sen. Pam Galloway (R-Wausau), the Senate is now evenly divided and committee makeup has been adjusted accordingly. For the influential Joint Finance Committee, Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay), a 1971 UW-Green Bay grad, has been added along with Sen. Jennifer Shilling of La Crosse. The Legislature has adjourned for the 2011-12 session, and additional changes are possible and even likely given summer recall elections and the fall general elections.
