UW-Green Bay’s Art Agency student org is welcoming Minneapolis-based artist Michael Sommers for a 3-day workshop that will culminate in a Saturday (March 29) evening performance at Kavarna Coffeehouse. Sommers has created a niche following in the Minneapolis area, delighting audiences with a performance style that mixes puppetry, shadow theatre, hand-crafted animation, performance art and Vaudeville-esque monomyth storytelling. Sommers’ public appearances include a Thursday afternoon lecture on campus and several Saturday events leading up to the 7 p.m. featured performance at Kavarna, 143 N. Broadway.
