Arts Wisconsin director to visit campus to talk about arts funding

In a meeting set for 1:30 p.m. Thursday (March 24) at the Weidner Center, Anne Katz, executive director of Arts Wisconsin, an arts service, advocacy and development organization, will preside at an informational meeting to discuss “Gov. Walker’s proposed 72% cut to the Wisconsin Arts Board’s budget in the 2011-2013 state budget, and what can be done to speak up against this cut and for state investment in the arts, arts education and creative economy.” RSVPs are not required, but if you have questions, contact Arts Wisconsin at 608-255-8316.
