Activist-educator Peinado talks Monday on Ferguson
Liz Peinado is the guest speaker for the program “Discussion on Ferguson and Race Relations” from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (Feb. 23) in Phoenix BC of the University Union. A 25-year-old schoolteacher in the St. Louis area, Peinado gained a social media following when she became active in the protest movement surrounding events in nearby Ferguson. Promised is “an open, diplomatic discussion on an issue that has rocked the nation over the course of the last few months.” Free and open to the public.
