Phuture Phoenix receives major grant to expand and enhance programming

Great news for Phuture Phoenix this Monday (Feb. 20), as Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation announced a $177,579 grant to expand and focus efforts to prepare disadvantaged youth for higher education. The one-year grant will provide funds for a grant coordinator and 10 Phuture Phoenix Phellows, pre-service Education majors who oversee pre-service education students who tutor and mentor in 10 area high schools. It also provides funds for three pilot programs: parent training, after-school academic tutoring and ACT prep. Full details.
