Jacob’s Caramel Nut Cheesecake named best bar
Stephanie Kaponya from the Office of Student Life reports that in a tight race that had the crowd begging for more, a caramel nut cheesecake made by UW-Green Bay student Sarah Jacob was chosen best bar in Thursday’s (Feb. 18) first-ever bake off. In second place was the German chocolate bar – made by Jackie Hallada and Denise Baeten from the Counseling and Health Center. Third place went to the rhubarb custard bar – made by Christine Kocourek from Computing and Information Technology. There were nine entries, and Kaponya reports that with so much positive feedback there are sure to be future bakeoffs. The winner received a gift certificate to Festival Foods.
