UW-Green Bay campus unaffected by East Side power outage
Offices are open and classes are being held on the campus of UW-Green Bay this afternoon, unaffected by a major power outage that has interrupted service to Wisconsin Public Service Corp. customers in Allouez and Bellevue. Employees and students are being advised, however, that outages of traffic lights and street lights in that area could slow traffic during the evening commute home. Fox 11 reports that about 6,900 customers were affected by the outage that occurred at about 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 29). WPS says it does not know what is causing the outage, or how long until the situation is corrected.
