PEA honors top students, teaching assistants of 2010-11
Congratulations are in order for students Jake Lopez and Kassidy Swartz, who are co-recipients of the Public and Environmental Affairs Outstanding Student Award for the 2010-2011 academic year. The award recognizes students in Public and Environmental Affairs who have coupled academic excellence with an expressed desire to pursue careers of service. It’s the third year the award has been presented, with many impressive applicants.
Additionally, Prof. Katia Levintova shares news that two students will share the inaugural Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award: Danny Mueller and Ben Royer. That award goes to students who show commitment to excellence in assisting faculty members in the classroom and who plan to pursue teaching careers. The four students will be formally recognized during a “Celebrating PEA Students” gathering on May 5.
