Alumnus takes Sting Cancer crusade statewide

UW-Green Bay alumnus Nick Nesvacil ’07 (Master’s in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning) invites campus to take part in “Wear Yellow Day” May 12.

Nesvacil is a 15-year cancer survivor and leads what is believed to be one of the nation’s largest student-organized cancer support groups, at Green Bay Preble High School, where he teaches.

“On May 12 we will hopefully see everyone in Wisconsin wearing yellow in support of the fight against cancer, Nesvacil says.

The Sting Cancer group is looking for sponsorship partners to help offset the cost of the popular yellow t-shirts their group wears to keep the importance of the fight against cancer in front of the public.
