FOCUS 2010: Transitioning to life at UW-Green Bay
It’s one of the most exciting times in life, but entering college can also be a bit stressful. That’s where FOCUS comes in. Each year, incoming freshmen get a head start on making the transition to life on campus.
FOCUS stands for First-year Opportunities and Connections for UW-Green Bay Students. Through a variety of programs, FOCUS provides tips and tools for college success and the opportunity to make new friendships.
The process began during FOCUS R&R (Registration and Resources) when freshmen made their first official visits to campus as UW-Green Bay students. During the one-day visit, students registered for classes, received their student ID and met other students, faculty and staff. Many parents came to campus for the event too. In fact, there are programs designed specifically for parents.
