The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Small Business Development Center is offering “Maximizing Performance,” a two-day management program focused on coaching employees. “Maximizing Performance” is offered Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24 and 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The course will be held at the Business Assistance Center, 2701 Larsen Road, Green Bay.
Heba Mohammad, a second-year University of Wisconsin-Green Bay student active in student government and campus diversity initiatives, has been selected to receive a 2012 Outstanding Women of Color in Education Award presented by the UW System. UW-Green Bay faculty and staff members who nominated Mohammad for the UW System award praised her activism, advocacy, leadership abilities and institutional contributions to improve the status and climate for women of color.
Victoria Harris, a longtime water quality and habitat restoration specialist with the UW Sea Grant Institute, will receive the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Alumni Earth Caretaker Award. The award is presented annually during the Green Innovations symposium at UW-Green Bay. This year’s conference, sponsored by the University’s Environmental Management and Business Institute, runs April 18 through 20.
