Littig on Kagen race

Republicans have ratcheted up attacks on “vulnerable” Democrats, including U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen (D-Appleton), the Appleton Post Crescent reports. (Kagen represents a district that voted for George W. Bush in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.) Prof. Emeritus David Littig said Kagen’s three challengers so far — Reid Ribble, Marc Savard and Andy Williams — have a tough task ahead. “They have zero name recognition,” Littig said, but he allowed that anything can happen with an electorate waiting for an economic rebound and health care reform.
