Mellencamp review: ‘unforgettable’


A virtual sellout crowd enjoyed a tremendous show at UW-Green Bay’s Weidner Center Monday evening. Rock legend John Mellencamp and opening act Carlene Carter made for a great one-two punch. Press-Gazette critic Kendra Meinert described how 2,000 Mellencamp fans handled the chorus on “Jack and Diane” (“Oh, yeah, life goes on/Long after the thrill of livin’ is gone”) and other hits.
