Gurung is featured presenter at childhood obesity conference
Prof. Regan A.R. Gurung will be one of the featured presenters for “The Childhood Obesity Conference: Inspiring Change to Improve the Health of America’s Children,” a one-day conference to be held Friday, Oct. 17 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Green Bay. UW-Green Bay is co-sponsoring the event with UW-Extension and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. In addition to Gurung, the event will feature Christina Economos (keynote), co-founder and director of ChildObesity180; as well as Amy Meinen, director of the Wisconsin Obesity Prevention Network. Attendees also will be able to choose from a variety of breakout sessions during the daylong event. The cost for the conference is just $99, which includes registration, continental breakfast, lunch, materials and a continuing education certificate. Our news release has additional details.
