Despite several serious complaints against UW-Parkside’s teacher education program, an adviser to the effort to fix it is optimistic things will turn around. Francine Tompkins, a senior academic planner for the UW System (and a former UW-Green Bay faculty member), is helping Parkside address problems that have put the image of the education program and the employment prospects of some alumni and current students in jeopardy.
